We are looking for an apprentice level carpenter to work in and around the greater Des Moines area with knowledge of the materials, methods and tools involved in the construction or repair of metal framing and drywall. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, great work ethic, reliable, respectful attitude and be able to follow instructions.
Work consists of, but not limited to, metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings, drywall (hang and finish), insulation and general construction tasks.
Job Duties and responsibilities:
· Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
· Good communication skills, and able to communicate with clients and crew members with a professional attitude at all times.
· Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
· Learn and retain processes of building metal framed walls, drywall and acoustical ceilings.
· Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand or power tools.
· Shape and cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines or power tools.
· Physically capable to lift and carry materials necessary to tasks.
· Knowledge and ability to operate boom/scissor lifts.
Hours: This is a full-time position. Typical hours are 7:00am- 3:30pm Monday-Friday. Overtime, weekends and travel as necessary.

· Manage and schedule timelines and appointments for projects.
· Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
· Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand or power tools.
· Shape and cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines or power tools.
· Physically capable to lift and carry materials necessary for tasks.
· Knowledge and ability to operate boom/scissor lifts.

We are looking to fill the position of a Foreman Carpenter. Work consists of, but not limited to, steel stud framing, acoustical ceilings, drywall, insulation and other general construction tasks. The knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in this work is required.
Candidates must have experience and a firm understanding of the industry, a valid driver’s license, great work ethic, reliable, respectful attitude and be able to follow instructions.
Job Responsibilities:
· Advanced knowledge and experience of reading architectural/structural blueprints.
· Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
· Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
· Ability to lead and manage crews, small and large, and demonstrate the best procedures and practices for each job.
· Good communication skills, and ability to communicate with clients and crew members with a professional attitude at all times.
· Manage and schedule timelines and appointments for projects.
· Represent the company in pre-construction and progress meetings.
· Demonstrate problem solving skills as problems arise and maintain job efficiencies.
· Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand or power tools.
· Shape and cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines or power tools.
· Physically capable to lift and carry materials necessary for tasks.
· Knowledge and ability to operate boom/scissor lifts.
